Mitte ranks first among Berlin’s 12 districts by Indian population. It recorded 8,171 registered Indian residents on December 31, 2025. Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf (5,281) and Lichtenberg (4,842) followed. Together, these three districts account for 38% of Berlin’s registered Indian population.
Marzahn-Hellersdorf ranks last of the 12 districts. It recorded 2,095 registered Indian residents. Mitte holds nearly four times as many Indian residents as Marzahn-Hellersdorf.
District Size Does Not Predict Indian Population Share
Pankow is Berlin’s largest district by total population. It recorded 428,900 registered residents. Only 0.99% of Pankow’s registered residents hold Indian citizenship. That share ranks among the lowest of Berlin’s 12 districts.
